"Justin developed a very impressive post and beam look that we loved, and then we brought him some desires and ideas that he incorporated into the design. We were impressed with his attention to detail, and his ability to produce design that was not only beautiful but also practical to build. Over time we made quite a few changes, and he was easy and pleasant to deal with in making those changes, that can often be frustrating to a designer. We ended up with a very good “as-built” set of drawings that have been useful since completion.
Because of my experience in electrical construction, we handled the electrical design, but Justin took care of all the other trades also. He exhibited a good knowledge of and a commitment to the applicable codes and standards for residential construction. We needed to involve a structural engineer for some of the design, and again he did a great job of coordinating that. Being very experienced with the institutional, commercial and industrial construction market, I had had a high standard and expectation for design and drawings. Justin met and exceeded our expectations and delivered us a great value.

When we needed to start the drawing package for our new house, our builder gave us the names of several architects he had worked with in the past. All were exceptionally busy at the time and said it would be 4-6 weeks before they could even see us, but Justin was able to work us in for our first meeting within 2 weeks. He met with us, our builder and job foreman for nearly 3 hours to understand our desires and any special site and/or building concerns the builder had. Justin had us a draft set of plans 2 weeks later for review that addressed nearly all of our desires. We made a few changes, like door or window locations, and had a revised set of plans within another 2 weeks. With these plans our builder was able to get quotes and we were able to go to the bank for our building loan. Over the next month, Justin finalized the floor plan, prepared section and elevation views, and a 3-D rendering of the house from the front and rear perspectives. Also, included were schedules for windows, doors, cabinets, and appliances. Justin made our journey very comfortable and entertaining and produced a high quality drawing package. We highly recommend Justin.

We are really pleased with our cabin. The great room with its pine walls and ceiling, the exposed beams, the stone fireplace with herringbone on each side all make for a beautiful and warmly inviting area. The kitchen is compact but complete, and the pantry cabinet is plenty large enough.
The many closets, and the full laundry room, provide plenty of storage. The solid pine clear coated wood doors really makes it look like a cabin inside, along with the pine on the exterior walls in the bedrooms.
I think we have a beautiful small home with lots of room! (Ha-ha)
